There will be time when you want to edit the Canva graphics in the EOwn library. Whatever your ultimate goals are, reading this quick guide here will always be useful.
1. How to open Edit graphic pop up
Click on Edit icon of the graphic. You can edit a new image, title, tag on the Edit graphic pop up
1. How to add/replace photos
To add photos, videos, or other media to your graphic, you can either use stock photos/videos from Canva or upload your own.
Use stock media from Canva
First, you need to open the Photos or Elements tab in the side panel.
Scroll through the tags or categories to find the most suitable item. You can click on See All to see more available media.
Click on the photo or video you’d like to use to place it on the page. You can also drag it to the position of an existing element to replace it
Use an uploaded photo from your computer
Open the Uploads tab in the side panel, then click Upload media > Device.
Choose a photo to upload from your local device, then click Open.

2. How to add and edit text
Usually you’ll find text box already set in your template to edit. If there’s not one, just add another text box.
Edit text in your graphic
Click on the existing text box you want to edit, highlight text you want to edit and rewrite your message.
To format, you need to highlight the text again and use the toolbar to change its font, size, color, alignment, spacing, and more.
Add new text to your graphic
Open the Text tab in the side panel.
You can choose from the Add a heading, Add a subheading, or Add a little bit of body text options to add a text box.
Type in your message. To customize text, highlight the text and use the toolbar to change its font, size, color, alignment, spacing, and more.
3. How to resize text box
If you want to adjust the size of text boxes without changing text font sizes to fit your graphic elements, just follow these steps.
Click to select the text box that you want to edit.
Click any of the white pill handles, and drag left or right to make the text box smaller or bigger.
4. How to format text
After adding text, you might want to change its size, font, color, spacing, etc to make it look better on your graphic.
First, click on a text box and use the text toolbar that appears above to format text.
Formatting options include:
Text font
Click the font dropdown from the toolbar.
Select or search for the font you want to use.
Text size
Click on the current font size and enter the new size. You can also click on + plus or - minus to increase or reduce the size.
Text color
Click Text Color and select a new color from the color panel.
Text emphasis
Click Bold, Italics, or Underline to add emphasis to text. If these icons are grayed out, it means that the current font used doesn’t support adding emphasis.
Text alignment
Click on Center, Left, Right, or Justify repeatedly until your preferred alignment is applied.
List
Click the Bullet list icon to put your text into a bullet list.
To put your text in a numbered list, click on the Bullet list icon again to change the bullets to numbers.
Text spacing
Click Text spacing.
Drag the Letter spacing and Line spacing sliders to your preferred value.
